Unlike a notebook, the sheets of a notepad are usually glued together along one edge. This makes it easy to tear off a sheet and take it with you, keep it somewhere else or pass it on. Perfect for a shopping list, a task for a colleague or that one idea that deserves to grow somewhere else.
