Bindewerk is a German family-owned company creating notebooks and writing accessories with an exceptional love for paper and bookbinding. In their workshop at the foothills of the Alps, every notebook is handcrafted under the direction of Arne Katzbichler and Inga Zempel. Quality, simplicity and sustainability are at the heart of everything they make, from design to production.

Bindewerk notebooks are known for their substantial book blocks, firmly enclosed between sturdy cardboard covers. A subtle groove keeps the elastic closure neatly in place, while the linen spine is carefully matched to the colour of each notebook. Inside, cream-coloured laid paper features a delicate line texture reminiscent of traditional air-dried paper.

Whether you are drawn to the softness of linen, the understated elegance of the Purist series or the playful combination of colour and texture, Bindewerk offers notebooks for those who value attention, reflection and the pleasure of writing by hand. Our collection includes four timeless ranges:

• Linen – lightly flexible covers in classic or pastel bookcloth
• Contemporary – minimalist black covers with colourful spines
• Purist – black cardboard covers with linen spine, elastic closure and pen loop
• Purist Grey – grey covers paired with red, yellow or blue spines
